The OWO Residences are the most expensive flats in London

When it comes to luxury living, there’s no address quite like London city’s Mayfair, Downing Street or Hyde Park. Housing the poshest homes with royal architecture on upmarket streets, each home spells out luxury. But this year we will see another address added to the iconic address hall-of-fame, The OWO in Whitehall which is London’s first Raffles hotel. The much-awaited hotel is set to open in the winter this year.

The OWO was an Old War Office at the junction of Horse Guards Parade and Whitehall and is located right on Westminster in London. But the renovated building is a lot more. Behind the extravagant white facade is a seven-floor property that has been split into two parts, the hotel and the residences. It offers 120 rooms and 85 branded residences, as well as extensive wellness facilities and 11 destination F&B venues including a rooftop restaurant and bar.

According to a press release, the transformative journey began in 2017 when The Hinduja Group and Obrascon Huarte Lain Desarollos (OHLD) announced plans to restore and redevelop the iconic building into a new destination of 760,000 square feet.

But what makes The OWO a luxury hotspot is that with a starting price of £5.8m, you can own one of the 85 sprawling private apartments in the OWO. The residences will include a private garden and pool, and while the prices start at £5.8m for a two-bedder, the prices for the most sought-after apartments are rumoured to potentially go up to a whopping £100 million. No two homes will be the same at The OWO Residences by Raffles. Formerly Winston Churchill’s headquarters during World War II and inspiration for Ian Fleming’s James Bond spy series, each residence is steeped in British history, with a unique design and architecture creating truly exceptional spaces.

Two apartments at The OWO that are particularly attractive to investors are the corner flats at either end of the hotel. Boasting breath-taking views of the city. Now you can live in high style down the road from the prime minister and the royals, with the creation of one of the most opulent residential buildings in the world, inside the heart of the area’s grand buildings. Just a few short steps from The OWO lies Horse Guards Parade: the official entrance to St James’s Park and Buckingham Palace.

Adding further to its aura, visible from the Whitehall facade windows, guests at Raffles London at The OWO will have an incredible view of Horse Guards, with a ceremonial changing of the guards occurring each morning for onlookers to enjoy.
