Lucknow: Minutes after landing at Lucknow airport in their 10-seater ultra-luxurious private jet Dassault Falcon 2000, the Hinduja brothers lauded Chief Minister Yogi Adityana-led Uttar Pradesh government for holding mega scale Global Investors Summit (GIS) and anticipated that everyone will invest one of the largest resourceful states in the country.
Septuagenarian Prakash P Hinduja along with his younger brother Ashok P Hinduja came from Mumbai along with their associates to participate in GIS. The duo briefly interacted with the media at the exit of domestic terminal 2.
“We met him (Yogi Adityanath) in Mumbai and he also spoke with the group chairperson (Srichand P Hinduja) in London. It’s the love of Yogi which brought us here. We want to make a big investment and make Uttar Pradesh the investment hub,” said 61-year-old Ashok Hinduja, the founder of Ashok Leyland.
Hinduja Group has proposed to invest Rs 1,000 crore in the state to set up an EV manufacturing plant that is expected to create nearly 6,000 jobs in the state.
We already have investments in Uttar Pradesh and would love to invest more. We hope UP becomes like Mumbai. The skill, manpower and environment in Uttar Pradesh will help in developing the position of India in the world,” Prakash P Hinduja, Co-founder Ashok Leyland.
He said, “Uttar Pradesh will become a state where every type of industry would like to invest and function. Right from defence to agriculture, every sector has scope of investment in UP. Problems of farmers will be solved with an agricultural boom, where they will get a new lease of life,” he added.
