Ashok Leyland appoints Raja Radhakrishnan as President and Head of Human Resources Radhakrishnan succeeds Amanppreet Singh Bhatia, who has taken up the role of Group President - HR, Hinduja Group.

Ashok Leyland, a leading automotive manufacturer and the flagship company of the Hinduja Group, on Tuesday announced the appointment of Raja Radhakrishnan as President and Head of Human Resources.

Radhakrishnan joined Ashok Leyland on April 21. He succeeds Amanppreet Singh Bhatia, who has taken up the role of Group President - HR, Hinduja Group.

With over 27 years of experience, Radhakrishnan brings extensive experience in building and strengthening organisational capabilities to achieve strategic objectives in complex global environments, according to a statement.

Prior to joining Ashok Leyland, Radhakrishnan was concurrently holding the post of Country HR Director at Hitachi Energy India and also Managing Director at Hitachi Energy Technology Services.

Before Hitachi, Radhakrishnan was HR Head - Global Operations at ABB and was based out of Zurich, Switzerland. He had been associated with ABB Limited for about two decades prior to demerger of Hitachi from ABB.

Radhakrishnan holds a Master’s in Social Work (Personnel Management and Industrial Relations) from Madras School of Social Works, and a Bachelor’s in Chemistry from PSG College of Arts & Science.
