
With Diwali, Thanksgiving and Christmas spread across the last quarter of 2012, an air of celebration prompted the launch of the 'Home for the Holidays' contest on Ozone, HGS's internal employee portal. The portal reflected a festive theme with colourful wall papers and symbolical elements such as Santa Claus, Cornucopia and Clay Lamps.
The contest invited traditional recipes from employees across HGS global delivery centres. In an attempt to sweep all employees into the festivities, HGS launched an aggressive ad campaign, which resulted in an enthusiastic participation from one and all. There was an influx of entries towards the end of the contest and the contest date was extended by two days. A total of 45 recipes were received and winners were chosen per geography.
The contest witnessed the 'one family' sentiment all HGS centres share, for employees made sure they entered their most-prized recipes in the contest. With the comments sections overflowing with wishes shared for all three holidays, Ozone witnessed a synergy of celebrations. The contest went on to prove that joys bear no barriers and celebrations remain the same in all languages or geographies. |
