Gulf livery alert! Williams has announced that it will be running a special Gulf Oil-inspired design later this season, and you - yes you - can choose which one. Along with thousands of other fans, obviously.
Your options are the four cars displayed in the gallery above, dubbed (in order) Bolder than Bold, Contemporary, Heritage and Visionary, with the first of three rounds of voting commencing today.
The winning livery will be announced on 12 July with the showcar set to proudly display the blue-and-orange goodness at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
It’ll then be used in three grands prix, first in Singapore, then Japan and finally Qatar in September and October. Oh, and the drivers will be getting matching race overalls. But of course.
“I’m excited to announce the livery vote as part of our partnership between Gulf and Williams Racing,” said team principal James Vowles. “The winning livery will showcase two iconic motorsport brands coming together. Our fans have the opportunity to create motorsport history with their livery decision, bringing this partnership to life. I can’t wait to see the winning design and watch the Williams Racing fans cheering the team on.”
The last time we had a Gulf livery in F1 was McLaren’s Monaco special back in 2021, and it looked… rather lovely. Which of the four options above are you picking to rival it?
