The second round of RCap auction was held last week after the Supreme Court allowed the lenders to go ahead with the extended challenge mechanism. The biggest bidder in the auction was a Hinduja Group firm - IndusInd International Holdings Ltd (IIHL). Commenting on this, Ashok Hinduja said, “It has taken us about 7-8 months but we have finally succeeded.”

Ashok Hinduja of Hinduja Group exuded his belief in the India growth story in an exclusive chat with ET NOW recently. The Hinduja Group of Companies (India) Chairman said that the US, UK and whole Europe is in recession, while India is the only country which is very bullish. Sharing why, Hinduja said that its "because the country has its own potential, excellent governance issues.”

“Globally the world is looking towards India and we ourselves and the group are great admirer for Indian investments,” Hinduja told ET NOW adding that the credit goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Investors are coming today and they want to invest in India," he stated.

Hinduja’s Rs 9,650 crore bid for Reliance Capital

The biggest bidder in the auction was a Hinduja Group firm - IndusInd International Holdings Ltd (IIHL)- which placed a an offer of Rs 9,650 crore to take over debt-ridden Reliance Capital.

Commenting on this, Ashok Hinduja said, “You must have seen the recent bid which we made for Reliance Capital. It has taken us about 7-8 months but we have finally succeeded. Now, it is in the process.”
