World Hand Hygiene Day was celebrated on 4th - 5th May 2023 for Healthcare workers by our Infection Control Team at P. D. Hinduja Hospital & MRC. The Slogan: Accelerate action together. SAVE LIVES – Clean Your Hands was put into practice by organising debate and training sessions. Dr Umang Agarwal (Consultant Infectious disease) and Dr. Radhika Banka (Consultant Pulmonary Medicine) debated on Pros & Cons of Routine Hand Hygiene Saves Life, Moderated by Dr Ashit Hegde (Consultant – Intensive Care) & Dr Camilla Rodrigues (Consultant – Microbiology, Infection Control - Chairperson).

Our infection Control Nurse demonstrated the Hand washing protocol to patients and their relatives in OPD areas. Also, trained the Healthcare workers (Doctors, Nurses, Technicians and Housekeeping attendants.) An online Kahoot Quiz was conducted and winners were felicitated by Dr Camilla Rodrigues and Mr. Gautam Khanna (CEO) with the attractive prizes.
