Filmmaker Anurag Basu felicitates organ donors

Hinduja Hospital organised a felicitation programme, now in its seventh year, for organ donors to honour their courage and selfless act of giving. Filmmaker Anurag Basu and the Hospital management felicitated the donors. The annual programme was attended by donors and recipients from across the city.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. G.B. Daver, Director – Professional Services, Hinduja Hospital, said "It feels good to see so many donors and recipients under one roof. Last year we saw a record number of 42 cadaver donations which was the highest in the last 20 years. This is an outcome of the increasing public awareness and we should all strive to educate as many people as possible about organ donation."
