P. D. Hinduja Hospital, Khar, had organized a webinar for the employees of Airport Authority of India on 13th January, 2022, in the specialty of Orthopedics.
Dr. Abhishek Nerurkar, Consultant Orthopedics, spoke on the topic, "Office Ergonomics - How to get it right?". He gave a brief overview on the spectrum of problems we are dealing with, at our modern workplace and the risk factors for office related disorders. His advice was to get the right diagnosis done so that the management plans can be formulated based on the severity of symptoms, clinical evaluation can be done by the doctor and relevant investigations can be suggested accordingly.
The next speaker for the day was Dr.Priti Tare, Consultant Physiotherapist, who spoke on the topic, "Ergonomics for the 21st Century". She explained, "What is Ergonomics?", highlighted the basic skills in the recognition and control of occupational ergonomic hazards and demonstrated ergonomic exercises.
The session was followed by an interactive questions and answer section.
