P. D. Hinduja Hospital, Khar, organized a CPD webinar for the general public on 28th December, 2021, in the specialty of Gynecology / Obstetrics.
Dr.Sujit Ash, Consultant, Gynecology / Obstetrics at P.D. Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Khar, spoke on the topic, "Preventive Gynecological Care". He highlighted the importance of screening examination such as PAP smear, self-breast examination , mammogram along with other common issues related to women's health. Speaking on the subject, "What is Perimenopause and what exactly happens in perimenopause", he shared the fact that that the average age of Menopause in India is 46.2 years (much less than their Western counterparts i.e. 51 years). He had a few tips to offer on how to handle this phase.
Pertinent questions from the online audience helped strengthen the take home messages of the discussion.
